The Portland Beavers, the Triple-A affiliate of San Diego, play at PGE Park which was built in 1926 and refurnished in 2001. We took MAX from Lloyd Center to PGE Park for the game. During the game it was a cool 65 degrees with a very heavy mist during parts of the game. The Beavers were playing the Sacramento River Cats. The Beavers won in the bottom of the 12th 4-3. The field lines are left field 317 feet, right field 320 field and center field 320 feet. The crowd was double the usual because it was Thirsty Thursday and all drinks were $1, which brought in the young crowd for cheap beer. The umpires threatened to forfeit the game because over-drinkers kept throwing tennis balls on the field that were supposed to be used in an after game promotion. We went to the game with Herb & Dorothy. 2009 New logo. End of the 2010 season the Beavers closed in Portland. 2011 team moves to Tucson and becomes the Tucson Padres. Possible move in 2012 to California
