The Baltimore Orioles play at Oriole Park at Camden Yards built in 1992 and seating 48,876. This is a major league stadium that was used as a pattern for those built after it. It is a nice stadium with a great view of the warehouse in right field. All of the concession stands on the field level are located under the seating area, so you have no view of the playing area. On the 300 level there aren't any TVs in the concession areas. The Eutaw Street concession area in front of the warehouse and behind right field is a great area to get something to eat before the game. We stopped at Boog Powell's BBQ for our sliced pork BBQ sandwich. Boog was there greeting everyone and signing autographs. Jim got his ticket signed. We had seats on the 300 level with the same view we have at Safeco, but about eleven rows farther back, near the top. It was really windy, blowing right into our faces and quite cool, in the upper 60s. This was Little League day at Camden Yards with several thousand parading around the field. On the way in we saw a 9-10 year old Mariners team from the Stafford Baseball Little League from Stafford VA. The Orioles were playing the Texas Rangers and were successful 5-4 even though A-Rod hit a 2 run homer. The box score was Rangers R-4, H-8, E-1 and Orioles R-5, H-11, E-1. A new item on the scoreboard was LO (left on) Rangers-7, Orioles-12. The field lines are RF-318', RC-373', LC-410', and LF-333'. Attendance was 38,536 fans. We were sitting beside two different school groups. One was an eighth grade group from Milwaukee, WI and the second was a local third grade group. After the game we walked over to the Babe Ruth Museum, which is located in the house where he was born. 2009 new logo.
