The Minnesota Twins play at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, a multipurpose dome with a soft roof that was built in 1982. There are only two levels of all blue seats with suites at the back of the first level all the way around except for the press box behind home. You can't sit on the lower level in right field or right center, because that is where the blocked-off football seats are. The Twins were playing the Milwaukee Brewers in an interleague game and won 6-3. The box score was Brewers R-3, H-7, E-1 and Twins R-6, H-11, E-1. Johan Santana pitched a great game through 7 innings for the Twins. The field lines are RF-327', CF-408', LF-343'. There is no large scoreboard, just a lot of small ones on the face of the second level and a couple above the seating in left field. In right field, hanging from the wall, are the Twin's pennant flags and pictures of Twin's Hall of Famers. One of the Brewers' players took out the Twins' second baseman breaking up a double play. This caused the benches to clear, but no punches were thrown and no one got thrown out of the game. T. C., the bear, is the mascot. Sitting behind us was a large high school group from Virginia, MN, the Virginia Marching Blues. The picture is of the guys who were sitting behind us. Attendance tonight was 24,160. There are no tunnels where you can look right down the baselines. If you have 2nd level tickets you cannot go out into the 1st level seating. 2011 New Stadium outside without cover.

Historic Fort Snelling - The restored limestone fort was the northern-most military outpost with which the US enforced possession of the old Northwest in the early 19th century. Costumed interpreters demonstrate 1827 fort life. The history center offers exhibits. Excellent exhibits of early frontier army life in the various buildings of the Fort. Fee.

Science Museum of Minnesota offers hands-on exhibits that allow visitors to touch a tornado, walk under a two-story dinosaur or climb aboard a Mississippi River towboat. Fee.

Mall of America in nearby Bloomington is the nation's largest combined retail and entertainment center.
