During Spring Training we visited 6 ball parks--2 in Arizona and 4 in Florida and saw 7 games. During the Regular Season we visited 111 ball parks and saw games in 106 of them, as we had 5 rainouts. The longest rain delay was in Buffalo, NY--3 hours. The weirdest rain delay was in Toronto, Canada when they didn't get the roof shut in time and the dugouts filled with water that then gushed into the locker rooms. We saw a total of 112 games because of double headers and seeing more than one game at a location. We had a record of 59 wins by the home team and 53 losses for a winning percentage of .527. We saw the Mariners sweep the Phillies which was a highlight for us because the two games we saw were the only time we got to see the Mariners during out trip.

The following paragraph is a partly a repeat from last year because it remains SO TRUE. Please pardon the pun, but "We had a ball!" We are both still speaking to each other and will continue on with our journey next year. It was great having so much time together. What was the highlight? The WHOLE TRIP! We enjoyed visiting the ballparks and talking with the local people sitting around us. We learned special things about each park and the towns and cities they are located in. People asked us as we visited each ball park "What is your favorite?" SAFECO is our favorite because it is our home ball park. But every ball park has its own interesting sights to be seen, food to be eaten, and special little things about it. There are old ball parks and new ball parks that are unique. Driving from one ballpark to another through our country and seeing the sights and scenery was inspiring. What a great country we have!

We can't wait for next May when we will journey to mid-America to complete the Mid-West, Pacific Coast, and Major Leagues and see the Texas League. See you next year!!
